INTERPOL chief calls for global electronic e-ID identity card system

The next step in the New World Order Agenda: INTERPOL chief calls for global electronic e-ID identity card system Electronic ID cards have made alarming progress towards becoming universal, globally around the world. Already, over 2.2 billion people, or 33% of the world’s population, have been issued with ‘smart’ ID cards. Of those, over 900 million have biometric facial and fingerprint systems. On present plans, over 85% of the world’s population will have smart ID cards by 2012. Most of the remaining population won’t have escaped - largely, they are already enrolled in earlier generation ID systems, often in repressive states, such as Burma. Understandably, campaigns against the introduction of ID cards have tended to play up the problems with ID systems, presenting them as being unworkable and creating unmanageable problems with privacy invasion, fraud, unauthorised database access, organised crime, reliability of biometric recognition, etc.. As a result, a substantial number of peo...

Scribes under surveillance

Even as journalists are busy getting the inside story, there are others who are keeping a close watch on their every move. MIR UBAID reveals that it has now become incumbent on media persons to employ secure communication tools. Journalists who use electronic gadgets for communication are now realising that governments and other agencies are able to track down their sources with the appropriate spyware. A recent article in the Columbia Journalism Review states that journalists are constantly being monitored and they are often oblivious of the fact. “Telephone, Skype, e-mail, texts, and instant messaging are easy to intercept with the right technology. The surveillance industry is big business, and governments are regular customers,” reads the article. “In December, WikiLeaks released The Spy Files , a leak containing hundreds of documents from surveillance companies, including contracts, pricelists, and marketing literature.” The reports have led to concern in journalist circl...

Patna Declaration Calls for Stay on UID/Aadhaar/NPR/MNIC Project

Hindi & English Press Release State Govt Should Put a Stay on Aadhaar/UID Project & Biometric based NPR for MNIC after Parliamentary Committee Report Parliamentary Committee Cites Global Experience and Citizens Testimony to Reject Central Govt’s database project Patna10/1/2012: A compelling logic has emerged for the Bihar Government to put a stay on the execution of the aadhaar related projects in the state following a revealing report of a multi-party Parliamentary Standing Committee (PSC) on Finance that considered the National Identification Authority of India (NIDAI) Bill, 2010 and following the grave concerns expressed by eminent citizens, former judges and academicians. Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) had signed a MoU with Bihar Government on August 20, 2010 without any legal and constitutional mandate. This disdain for the law has been characterised by the Standing Committee as `unethical and violative of Parliament's prerogatives'. Citizens have...

Open letter to Kim Jong-un urging a new era in North Korea

Kim Jong-un Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army Pyongyang Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Dear Supreme Commander Kim: I am writing to recognize the passing of your father and acknowledge your leadership of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), and to raise a number of concerns and ideas which we believe would enhance your leadership, improve the standing of your country and benefit your people. It is clear that the coming year will be one of great challenges for you and the people of North Korea. It can also be a time of great opportunity, both for your legacy and for the well-being of all the people of North Korea, provided that you seize this moment in history to ensure that your government respects the human rights and fundamental freedoms of the North Korean people. I am seriously concerned about what is happening to the people of your country. More than 200,000 men, women and children are still being held in a system of prisons and labor camp...

You Poor People Have No Rights Only Duties: A Letter

Dear Poor People: Some stupid wage slaves are under the impression that they have certain rights, nothing can be further from the truth. You have no rights, you only have duties and responsibilities. The duty of a wage slave is to work hard for his master, to die at war for his master, to bleed in the trenches for his master. The duty of a wage slave is to put all thoughts of authentic freedom aside, in order to wholeheartedly serve my corporations. The duty of a wage slave is to fall into debt so that this debt may be used to further entrap his weak psychology. You might think you’re free, you might think you have rights, but as my buddy Bloomberg put it so eloquently, ‘no right is guaranteed’. The billionaires have the guaranteed right to be bailed out with your tax money, but you have no guaranteed rights. The billionaires have the guaranteed right to have their investments protected, but you have no guaranteed rights whatsoever. At any time I can take you and your whole famil...

Parliamentary Committee Vindicates Citizens Demand for Rejecting UID & NPR

*Press Release * *Parliamentary Committee Rejects UID Project & Biometric based NPR* *Vindicates Citizens Demand for reviewing UID and NPR * New Delhi/ 22/12/2011: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance considering the National Identification Authority of India (NIDAI) Bill, 2010 presented its report to the Parliament on December 13, 2011. The report rejects biometric data based identification of Indians. The report is a severe indictment of the hasty and `directionless' project which has been "conceptualised with no clarity of purpose". Even the functional basis of the Unique Identification Authority of India UIDAI is unclear and yet the project has been rolled out. The Standing Committee found the biometric technology `uncertain' and 'untested'. As early as December 2009, the Biometric Data Committee had found that the error rate using fingerprints was inordinately high. In a recent interview to the press, the Director General ...
