Regressive Tranformational Idea about UID, NATGRID, RFID, NPR, DNA Profiling etc

Dear Fellow Citizens, Pursuant to my earlier submissions, I am sharing the information and documents which reveals how Unique Identification (UID)/Aadhaar Number, National Population Register, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and DNA Profiling Bill besides National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) are a threat to national security, civil liberties of present and future generations, constitution and natural resources. I am drawing your immediate attention towards the attached Aadhaar Enrolment Form (both in Hindi & English). There are ten columns in the Form seeking information. Column 7 and 9 merit attention. Column 10 reads: "I have no objection to the UIDAI sharing information provided by me to the UIDAI with agencies engaged in delivery of welfare services". In front of this column, there is a "Yes" and "No" option. Irrespective of what option residents of India exercise (which is being ticked automatically by the enroler in any case as of no...

Workers Vs Maruti Suzuki Management

Image
Neither side appears willing to make concessions in the Maruti Suzuki stand-off. Suzuki Power Train India Limited workers, agitating since the last few days in support of the labour force of Maruti Suzuki's Manesar plant, have now been totally evicted without using any force. "The workers have moved out from the Power Train facility," a company official in the know of the development told IANS from Manesar. The development came a day after workers at Maruti Suzuki's Manesar facility were evicted. The workers had to move out of the factory premises after a directive by the Punjab and Haryana high courts to do so. "We agreed to move out last night around 10.30 pm. This decision was taken to follow the high court's order," Sonu Gujjar, one of the leaders of the workers who occupied the plant and went on a tool-down strike, told IANS. "Our strike will continue, our demands are legitimate and we will sit only 100 metres away from the plant as ...

Dear Fellow Citizens, This is to appeal to you and to draw your most urgent attention towards the world's biggest database project unfolding through Unique Identification (UID)/Aadhaar Number in the country without legislative approval since January 2009. It is about a 12-digit identification number which is linked to the National Population Register (NPR), Census and National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) under Home Ministry among other initiatives. This is to draw your attention towards the news report of Sunday Guardian dated 18 September, 2011. The report is attached. Montek Singh Ahluwalia and P. Chidambaram have recommended the cut in the budget of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) because of “unnecessary spending” by it.
